ESP has been terminated by Nov 2013. If you are interested in a PhD project within the participating subjects, please contact the respective supervisor directly. ESP is an interdisciplinary program which aims to bring together certain aspects of the disciplines computational linguistics, comparative linguistics, computational statistics, media informatics and phonetics and speech processing. The well-structured ESP program strives to extend the synergies between these disciplines and intends to have its firm roots in research. PhD students of the ESP will be expected to present their projects in colloquia, workshops and symposia. In this way the program aims to achieve an open working environment in which communication and sharing knowledge is an integral part. Internationally acclaimed scientists have frequently been contributing to the program and will do so in the future. more
